The good techs are set up to fail. You are constantly pushed to get the customer off the phone and keep your call times low. I still buy from the manufacturer where I worked as a tech for over a year though. They were trying to improve and many of the techs just helped people and suffered for long calls. We did farm about half our staff to India but when I left many of the jobs were coming back. I just posted one of my more frustrating calls on my blog.
