Plus, I don't see any games that I simply MUST PLAY yet.

My solution: Wii + PS2 until price drops and library builds on PS3. Then I'll check it out. The PS2 will continue to have games released on it for a while, so I'm not worried about that.

Re: Sony Gets Pissy

The Wii has received RAVE reviews from the people who played it at E3. Honestly, it doesn't surprise me. People were skeptical of the Nintendo DS and it's a MONSTER hit for Nintendo. They know their stuff, and even though they're throwing people for a loop with all this revolutionary kit, believe me, it'll be worth it. Nintendo is focusing on the games while Sony is focusing on the look and how they can lock the system down (sounds like DS v. PSP all over again).

My route? Xbox 360 + Wii. I have no interest in the PS3. When they stop supporting the PS2, I'll retire it to the closet and move on. I got a good few years out of it, but we all have to move on at some point.

What about you?

Re: Sony Gets Pissy

But Vin, you've got to wonder what the alternative is.

I've always thought that this motion sensor remote control thing was really stupid. I mean, come on. Nintendo wants to change the way people have been playing video games for more than twenty years, people aren't just going to go with something new and confusing over something that they know and are comfortable with. If you ask me, Sony is making a mistake by copying it. I am big Nintendo fanboy and I am very skeptical about the Wii (stupid name!)

As for the PS3, well, that's another story. Sure it looks cool, but it's expensive as hell! I'm not sure I'll get one if the price doesn't come down.

And that leaves us with the new XBox. I didn't care about the Box before, so this new one doesn't impress me.

So, again, I ask you, what's the alternative. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, I just genuinely want to know what you plan on doing this next console go around.
